NEW DELHI: With the spike in Covid-19 cases in the state, the Uttarakhand board has decided to cancel the class 12 examination. The government has cancelled the examination for the safety and security of the examinees and teachers in view of the coronavirus pandemic in the state.

Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE) will release the assessment pattern for the class 12 results later. Earlier, the class 12 exams were postponed due to the Covid-19 situation, however, the board has now called off the exams.

In April, the Uttarakhand board had cancelled the class 10 examination due to the Covid-19 situation in the state. This year, nearly 1.48 lakh students have registered for the class 10 examination while 1.23 lakh students have registered for the class 10 examination.

Recently, states including Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Telangana have also called off the class 12 examination.
